Keweras Gorgeous Guys
Here are my stud boys. Ty is my current stud boy, he has the most wonderful temperament as have all my previous stud boys. My boys were and are all so gentle and loving, and I adore each one.
Please note I no longer conduct matings’ with ‘outside’ bitches, and Ty is used purely for my own girls for puppies booked. I can, however recommend a like minded and very reputable breeder who has two wonderful stud boys in Devon.
Below shows how my matings’ were conducted when I accepted ‘outside’ girls. I may go back to doing this in the future, it remains to be seen..
All my matings are done as nature intended – naturally! I will never force a bitch to mate, or use a muzzle – if she is not happy to mate there is a good reason for it, and to force it on her is an act of cruelty. I allow the dogs time to get to know each other and enjoy some play time together. I feel it is kinder to the girls to have time to get to know me, the property, my other dogs, new scents etc., before expecting her to feel comfortable about going through a mating. I also believe that if she is mentally happy this will enhance her chances of conception. All the girls who have stayed with me for a mating have been very happy – so much so that their owners have had concerns about them wanting to go home!
When you collect your girl, I will give you a copy of my dog’s hips score and eye test – I will have shown them to you prior to the mating – and a photograph of the dogs tied, as this will show you beyond question that the mating has taken place – after all you will only have my word for it without this. I will also give you a signed litter registration document to enable you to register your litter with the Kennel Club, and ask that you pay your full fee at this time. In the unlikely event that your girl does not conceive at this first mating, a free mating will be offered on her next season.

Sadly my darling boy Monty was taken from me on 12th May 2018 following surgery for bloat and a torsion. My world has changed dramatically since losing him so suddenly and unexpectedly. He was a loving and deeply loved dog – everyone who met him wanted to take him home. Amazingly he left the most wonderful gift of his litter of puppies behind, and we now have his gorgeous son TY (as named by our 6 year old Granddaughter) to hopefully carry on Tamar and Monty’s line with my girls. I will be able to put Ty to all my girls but one – Matti – who is Monty’s daughter. Sleep sweetly my precious darling boy..forever adored and painfully missed…
Tamar
Tamar will be 7 on Christmas day (2010). He is the most friendly and loving Goldie you will ever meet. He loves nothing more than sitting on my lap…or anyone’s really! He even leaps on my lap when I’m on the computer – as you will see on my Gallery page. He adores all his canine companions – and puppies – which is somewhat unusual for a male dog, but which reflects his nature completely. Tamar enjoys cuddling up under the quilt in the middle of the night…and makes a great hot water bottle! He is a very much loved member of the family, and makes life a great place to be.

Some of Tamar’s Pups

Tamar now lives with my dear friends Marion and Trevor who absolutely idolise him – and he them! He is very happy in his new life in Nottingham, and as you can see from the picture, is very much at home. He seems to love the ball I gave him when he left – and without doubt could have done a much better job on his own, than the entire England team in the world cup! I miss Tamar every day of my life, and love him as much as ever, but I know how happy he is, and how happy he is making his new owners, and knowing that is what helps me when I miss him the most. Thank-you to Marion and Trevor for the love and care you shower on my special boy each and every day. xx
Monty

Monty is my gorgeous dark boy with the most incredible nature you will ever see in a dog. His parents are Tillie and Tamar – both very special dogs, also with amazing temperaments. You have to meet this special boy to believe how soppy he really is! Everyone who has visited has wanted to take him home – without exception! I am just so very proud to have bred such an incredible dog – he epitomizes what my breeding is all about.
Monty helps Kara to look after her puppies (they’re not his though!)
Monty has a hip score of 8:6, and a current clear eye certificate.

Torr
My special stud boy: Doddridge PenTorr of Keweras
My wonderful boy Tamar (Kennelridge PenTamar) suddenly became infertile somewhere between September 2007 and February 2008, aged just 4/5. As he was my ‘outside blood’ whom I could put to any of my girls (except his daughter Tegan of course) this was a massive blow to my breeding programme. He has such a wonderful nature, and has produced some very special pups with incredible temperaments and looks. I was thrilled when his son, Monty came back to me in January 2009. Monty is now well proven. However, I am unable to put him to all my girls, as I feel he is a bit too close. I therefore had to make the decision to buy in a new boy, and having had a beautiful litter of Troy’s (Nightjades Dreamer at Yeovale) puppies from the Doddridge Kennel, with my Kizzi , I decided to book one from there. I now have my wonderful boy – he is called Torr (Doddridge PenTorr of Keweras) and is an absolute darling! Both his parents are very laid back, and he has definitely inherited this lovely trait. Thankyou Brenda so much for this wonderful boy. He is so very gentle and I’m proud to say this is coming out in all his puppies.

Torr has a current clear eye test and hip score of 7:8.
I have used Torr several times on my girls and with two ‘outside’ girls, and all pups have been exceptional. He is a very special part of our Keweras family, and we simply adore him.
My darling boy TORR – soppiness personified !!

Barney

Barney is a big baby really…but just wonderful. He is a large dog, pale cream in colour with a lovely full coat, and has tremendous dark pigmentation. Barney has sired many very beautiful litters, and has been known to pop into the whelping box to check on his pups’ progress! I have his daughters, Tira, Kizzi & Kara here, and will carry his line on through them. He is such a big softy and buries his head in me for a cuddle on a regular basis. He adores his canine companions, and looks after them all like a mother hen! He can be very excitable – but in a lovely way. I love my Barney Boots – as I call him, and love the way he is so enthusiastic about showing his affection to everyone!
Barney now lives with a loving family here is Saltash. His new owners Paul, Helen & Jason all adore him, and he is a very happy and much loved pet. Thankyou to his wonderful family for loving and caring for him so well every day.
